About project
Cyber Tabu is a large educational project to increase media literacy, especially in the area of online information and the Internet.
What is Kyber tabu
The entire Kyber tabu project takes two basic forms: video and print, through which it describes and explains the rules and laws of the current online media environment in a simple and communicative way.
At the heart of the project are fourteen short videos, which focus on specific topics (News Outlest, Data, Algorithms, Advertising, Information, Disinformation, Information Warfare, Duopoly, Opponents, Moods, Addictions, Politics, Cyber Questions, Future).
With the help of hundreds of illustrations, animations and accompanying words by a popular presenter, the topics are introduced in an insightful and comprehensible way, and invisible and hard-to-grasp phenomena are visualized.
It gives explanations, names, opens doors to the topics, does not demoralise, inspires further interest in them.
Why do we see information and advertisements on websites that seem to hear what we are thinking about? Why do we encounter so much negative news? Why do we love likes on social media? Why is it easy to abuse the online environment? These are some of the headings from the chapters.
The diverse format of the project offers everyone the opportunity to engage with the chapters individually in approximately four-minute videos or in a single, approximately one-hour edit, flip through the publication chapter by chapter or read them in sequence like a book.
Taken as a whole, Kyber tabu is a unique, very comprehensive picture of the contemporary information world designed for a wide target group, regardless of age and education.
It is an aid, a guide, a map to orientate and to know whenever we pick up our mobile phones and embark on another journey through the endless universe of online information.
